History of Russia: The citywide event “Day of Ladoga – the first capital of Rus” in Saint-Petersburg

August 15, 2013 in Saint-Petersburg near the Chief portico of Gostiny Dvor is held a citywide event “Day of Ladoga - the first capital of Rus, the predecessor of Saint-Petersburg”.

In the heart of Nevsky Prospect will be unfolded a large-scale interactive action with the participation of professional artists and clubs of the military-historical reconstruction. The topic of the holiday is a historical perspective of life and the development of Ladoga, its connection with the history of Russia and Saint-Petersburg. At specially installed screens the guests of the holiday will be able to see the video films dedicated to Staraya Ladoga - the ancient capital of Rus. One of the main events will be the broadcast of the teleconference “Saint-Petersburg - Old Ladoga”.
