World history: Unique documents to be presented at the exhibition “The beginning of the Sino Japanese War in China” in Moscow
September 5, 2013 the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow will open the exhibition “The beginning of the Sino Japanese in China” and will show the art project “Russia - China. Harmony”.
The exhibition is dedicated to the national liberation war of the Chinese people against the aggression of Japanese militarism and is developed jointly with the Historical Museum of the Chinese city of Shenyang “9.18”. The exhibition will feature materials from its holdings: more than 130 photos, documents, and topographic maps, periodicals and banknotes of the period of the struggle of the Chinese people for the liberation of their territory.
The visitors will also see items from the collection of the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War, associated with the Soviet-Chinese cooperation in the fight against the Japanese aggression in the 30-40s of the XX century: weapons, uniforms, military equipment, works of decorative and fine arts.
The exhibition will also present the art project “Russia and China. Harmony”, created in 2013 as a result of open-air journeys of Russian artist Catherine Vorona.
