Information technology and education: The web site and mobile application for school children to be launched in Moscow

The Moscow authorities are developing an educational web site and mobile application for school children.

It is planned that the new web site will post educational materials, including additional tasks such as the preparation for the EGE and the GIA.

Each schoolboy will have his personal “My Account” with the school schedule, which automatically updates with the assessments of the pupil and the homework. Pupils will also be able to carry at the web site their own blog, adding data about their achievements at school competitions and Olympiads.

The web site will also be integrated with an existing web site dnevnik.mos.ru, where parents are monitoring pupils’ achievements.

The web site and mobile application according to the plans of the authorities will be launched not earlier than the next - 2014/15 - school year.
