Society and culture: The photo exhibition “Russian sails” in Tomsk

The Tomsk Regional Art Museum from August 9, 2013 presents new photo exhibition “Russian sails”.

The photo exhibition dedicated to the first circumnavigation of the training bark of Rosrybolovtsvo “Sedov”. The exhibition comprises of vivid photographs of direct participants of the voyage around the world, known as the Russian photographers and talented amateurs. The photographs as well as movies about the bark “Sedov”, were first presented to residents and visitors of Saint-Petersburg on 23-26 April 2013 at the opening of the X anniversary of Saint-Petersburg festival “The Sea is ​​Calling!”.

The organizing committee of the festival also noted that due to the circumnavigation of the Russian sailing ship “Sedov” that caused the attention of all strata of Russian society and the delight of fans sail around the world, public interest in the films of nautical theme and photo exhibition in particular appeared to be, as ever, very high.

Later, after the end of exposure in Tomsk, the organizing committee of the festival is planning the exposition in the framework of the 5th International Film Festival “The people and the ships”, which will be held in Kiev from 13 to 17 October.

Then the exhibition will return to Saint-Petersburg and in December 2013 as part of the completion of the festival “The Sea is calling 2013” will go to Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk.
