Information technology and authority: E-Government to become the main theme of the forum “Infotech-2013” in Tyumen

More than 170 people have applied to participate in the All-Russian Forum “Infotech 2013”, which will be held in Tyumen, in the middle of September. Among the participants of the Forum - representatives of the Moscow region, the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Kurgan region, the Sverdlovsk region, the Samara region, the Stavropol region, the Komi Republic, Bashkortostan.  

The theme of this forum, which will take place in the regional industrial park for the sixth time – is “E-Government - a modern mechanism of the management of the region”. As part of the forum will be held the specialized exhibition “Information Technologies of the Tyumen region”, which will showcase the innovative development of international and Russian IT companies, federal authorities of the Russian Federation and the Tyumen region.

“One of the priority goals of the Russian Federation is the development of national information technology and systems, their application in all spheres of life, which will undoubtedly have an impact on the formation of the national knowledge-based economy. In this case, it is very important for the region to share experiences and its own work with each other”, - said the head of the Department of Economic Policy of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Urals Federal District, Anna Lenskaya.

The Tyumen region, according to experts, today is the leader in the development of information technology. In the electronic sphere are actively translated housing services, education, and medicine.

According to official data, more than half of the adult population in the south of the Tyumen region uses Internet. Moreover, 33% residents of the region access the “network” regularly and 21% - “from time to time”.
