State and society: A list of instructions following the 34th meeting of the Russian Pobeda (Victory) Organizing Committee signed

President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions following the 34th meeting of the Russian Pobeda (Victory) Organizing Committee, which was held on July 12, 2013.

The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to present suggestions:

- on Russia’s participation in anniversary celebrations in the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine honoring the liberation of their territories from Nazi occupiers;

- on Russia’s participation in the anniversary celebrations held by member states of the anti-Hitler coalition, marking the defeat of the Nazi troops and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Soviet troops;

- on increasing funding to care for Soviet soldiers’ graves and memorials abroad;

- on participation by CIS and anti-Hitler coalition member states’ armed forces and units in military parade on Moscow’s Red Square on May 9, 2015;

- on participation of veterans residing in the states - members of the Commonwealth of Independent States and other foreign countries in the celebrations in Moscow dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Also, the Government of Russia is to develop a program of cultural and other events with the participation of foreign delegations invited to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, to arrange a demonstration of the best Soviet and Russian documentaries and feature films about the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 years, in the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign institutions of Foreign Ministry of Russia, Russian Centre of Science and Culture and Russian military bases located overseas.

Government of the Russian Federation, together with the higher executive bodies of state power of subjects of the Russian Federation has been instructed:

- to organize the work of finding the unknown heroes of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the publication of their names and handing them (transfer to families of the dead veterans) awards not handed before.

- to submit by the established procedure, on the preparation and implementation of activities aimed at promoting knowledge among young people about the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, using the family archives of veterans and to become involved in such activities of their direct descendants.

- to prepare and submit proposals for funding through budget allocations from the federal budget for the construction works in the Orel region of the memorial complex “Soborovskoe field”, the inclusion of these works in the outline plan for the preparation and celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945 and the action plan provided by the federal target program “Culture of Russia (2012-2018)”.

To prepare and submit proposals for funding through budget allocations from the federal budget for the construction work in the village of Prokhorovka, the Belgorod Regional Museum of armored vehicles and the inclusion of these works in the outline plan for the preparation and celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 years.
