Libraries and society: The annual meeting of directors of children and youth libraries in Moscow

24-26 September 2013 at the Russian State Children’s Library (Moscow) is held the annual All-Russian meeting of directors of children and youth libraries on “Modern children library in the information and legal space”.

The main issues of the meeting:

• the current legislation in the field of information security of childhood;

• new models of information and library services for children;

• electronic and media resources in the activities of a children’s library;

• international experience of children’s services at the library.

The meeting is attended by leaders of children and youth libraries of more than 70 regions of Russia, representatives of public authorities, mass media, cultural and educational institutions, prominent experts of childhood and reading promotion, professionals in the field of children’s reading from abroad.

Problem seminar “Current legislation in the field of information security of childhood: practical aspects of the application in libraries” will be held in the videoconference mode.
