To the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty: The exhibition “Romanovs – dynasty in the service of Russia” as part of the Days of European heritage in Paris

The exhibition devoted to Russian history, was a prelude of the beginning in Paris the European Heritage Days. The exhibition “The Romanovs - the dynasty in the service of Russia” opened on 13 September 2013 at the residence of the Ambassador of Russia in France Alexander Orlov.

“Since the time of Peter the Great, who visited Paris, many Romanovs played a prominent role in French history”, - said the Commissioner General of the exhibition, the writer Cyrille Boulay.

Paintings, prints, documents, recreate the 400-year history of the dynasty, which began in 1613. The basis of the museum’s centerpiece is a unique collection of Moscow, rarities from private French and Russian collections.
