Society and reading: The X Interregional Festival to promote books and reading “Autumn in Mikhailovskoe” in the Pskov region

11-13 September 2013 in the A. S. Pushkin State Museum reserve “Mikhailovskoe” (the Pskov region) is held the X International Festival to promote books and reading “Autumn in Mikhailovskoe”. This is the real socio-cultural event, which annually attracts more than 300 specialists of libraries, as well as leading figures in culture, science and education: book publishers, writers, literary critics and sociologists. 

Festival by right is a list of the largest professional library activities and is the largest platform for the exchange of experience, knowledge, technology and innovation in the field of promotion of books and reading in the Russian Federation.

This year, in addition to the traditional program, which includes inter-regional scientific-practical seminar, meetings with authors, workshops and lectures, in the Pushkin Hills is planned a ceremony “The project of the decade” – a rewarding the best projects, winners of inter-regional festivals to promote books and reading “Autumn in Mikhailovskoe” 2004-2012 years.

Also this autumn, a professional space of the festival will be divided into multiple zones (the estates “Petrovskoe”, “Mikhailovskoe”, the village Bugrovo) and presented new sections:

Section 1: Regional projects in reading;

Section 2: Children and about the Children;

Section 3: “The problems of social activity of libraries to promote reading”: inter-regional scientific-practical seminar.
