Science and society: International Research Conference "Modern encyclopedia: Challenges and Prospects" in Moscow

The scientific publishing house "Great Russian Encyclopedia" with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications of Russia holds on 3-4 September 2013 in Moscow the International Research Conference "Modern encyclopedia: Challenges and Prospects"

The main topics of the conference:

1. Place of encyclopedias in the modern educational, scientific and cultural information space;

2 . The current state and problems of national and regional encyclopedia;

3 . Classical scientific encyclopedia: basic techniques and methods;

4 . Prospects for the development of electronic and online encyclopedias.

The conference is to take a decision on the establishment of the International Publishers Association scientific encyclopedias ( MAINE ) . The main goal of the association will promote high professional and scientific level of the participants issued MAINE encyclopedias, as well as the popularization of scientific encyclopedias.

September 5 in the framework of the 26th Moscow International Book Fair will be held a press conference on the establishment of the International Publishers Association scientific encyclopedias and presentation of scientific encyclopedias Russia and the CIS.
