Exhibitions: Graphic works by Boris Kustodiev presented in Astrakhan after the restoration
August 29, 2013 in the Kustodiev House Museum (Astrakhan) opened an exhibition of graphic works of the artist, which in 2011 were sent for the restoration to the Moscow Center for Restoration of museum collections.
The exhibition features 25 works by Boris Kustodiev of different periods, made in graphic techniques (pencil, red chalk, watercolor, lithography, linocut). Among them are rarely exhibited works: “Sleeping Child”, “3 male figures”, “Bucket, folding bench, hunting boots by Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich, valley”, “Bathers at sea”.
The earliest picture dates back to the study of the artist in the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg (1896-1903), the later dates back 1926 year. The graphic exhibition complements the museum’s main exhibition and expands knowledge about the artist.
