International Events: The "Digital Heritage" International Congress in Marseille

"Digital Heritage 2013" International Congress takes place in entitled the “Cultural Capital of Europe 2013” Marseille (France) from October 28 to November 1, 2013.

The problems that already were observed at "The Memory of the World in the Digital Age: Digitization and Preservation" 2nd International Conference of UNESCO, held in Vancouver (Canada), are within the scope of this Congress. The Vancouver Declaration was issued as a result of this conference. As a party of "Memory of the World..." conference IFLA is now actively involved in the implementation of the strategic directions of the Vancouver Declaration and strongly recommends to all the world libraries to participate in this ongoing and important debate.
