Museums of Russia: Tikhomirovskie local readings at the Yaroslavl Museum Reserve

October 22-23, 2013 at the Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve is held the Scientific conference – the XIV Tikhomirovskie local readings, organized by the museum and the department of museology and local history of the P. G. Demidov Yaroslavl State University.

The readings are named after I. A. Tikhomirov - ethnographer, historian, archeographer and keeper of collections of ancient storages - the forerunner of the modern Yaroslavl Museum-Preserve.

This year it is claimed about 40 reports that will be presented and discussed during the two sections: “Museology. Museum Collections” and “History of the Yaroslavl region: new research”.

A particular attention will be paid to the problem of the preservation and the use of historical and cultural heritage of Russia. To the historical experience of the past are dedicated reports of the plenary session.

October 23 it will be held a round table in the course of the Tihomirovskie readings “Prospects of the development of the Yaroslavl Museum-Preserve in light of the Federal Law 327-FZ”.
