Internet and culture: The Internet version of the “National calendar of events” presented

The International Cultural and Tourism Forum in Saint-Petersburg, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation submitted to the public the “National calendar of events”.

The “National Calendar of Events” for 2013 - is more than 160 major events that are held throughout the year in 74 regions of the Russian Federation: the international arts festivals, regional exhibitions, fairs, meetings, cultural, spiritual, sports, ethnic, environmental and gastronomic events, military-historical reconstructions, family and youth festivals, meetings of “hobbies” and actions dedicated to commemorative dates for Russia.

For online version of the handbook are registered three domain names: the main domain - календарьсобытий.рф - and additional English-language domains - eventsinrussia.ru and eventscalendar.ru.

“If it is remembered that the event tourism is one of the most important factors in creating a positive image of the country abroad, the importance of such events for the life of Russian regions is difficult to overestimate. Many of the events allow you to create a new cultural product that will attract tourists”, - commented on the project the Minister of Culture of Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky.
