Information technology and museums: Exhibits of the Russian Museum of Ethnography to convert to 3D

The Russian Museum of Ethnography will digitize artifacts using the equipment for 3D-shooting. The “Electronic Archive” Corporation will supply to the museum the automatic photo studio ELAR ORTERI.

The photo studio ELAR ORTERI allows you to quickly and fully automatically create 3D-up of decorative, jewelry art and sculpture. The device is very easy to use; it requires no special skills and additional expertise.

One of the largest museums in the world, the Russian Museum of Ethnography, holds nearly 500 000 authentic merchandise monuments and pictures of traditional culture of 158 peoples of Russia and neighboring countries in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia. Visitors can not see all the rich collection of the museum because of the limited space, but modern technology allows to get acquainted with the exhibits of the Museum of Ethnography virtually.
