Society and culture: Umberto Eco wrote an essay about the last film of Herman senior

The Italian philosopher and writer Umberto Eco became the first European viewer of the film of Alexei Herman senior “Hard to Be a God” and wrote an essay about him, said at the press conference in RIA Novosti in Moscow the artistic director of the Rome Film Festival where will be held a premiere of the film, Marco Mueller. 

“The first viewer of the film was Umberto Eco. He has prepared a great gift for the family of Herman – he wrote a profound article about this film…”, - said Mueller.

He also noted that the article of Eco will soon be published in Italian and Russia.
