Internet and society: The National XVI Joint Conference “Internet and Modern Society” in Saint-Petersburg

October 9-11, 2013 in Saint-Petersburg is held the XVI Joint Conference “Internet and Modern Society”.

The conference “Internet and Modern Society” is held in St. Petersburg every year since 1998.

The main objectives of the joint research program: the development of interdisciplinary research of information technology, digital libraries, methods, and techniques of integration of digital collections; interaction of information resources and the generation of electronic document space of research and innovation.

An important scientific direction of the conference is to discuss the research findings in the area of ​​e-Science (infrastructure of scientific data and information systems), software development tools for building such infrastructure, including the means of collecting, modeling and reporting based on international standards, research, information technology electronic government and the management of public information systems, the development of a knowledge society through the application of information technology in social and humanitarian sphere.
