History of Russia: International scientific conference “Class representation in Russia in the Time of Troubles in the context of the European history” in Moscow

The International scientific conference “Class representation in Russia in the Time of Troubles in the context of the European history” (the end of the XVI – the first half of the XVII) is held at the State Historical Museum in Moscow from October 7-11, 2013.

The conference considers the following topics:

- Evolution of class structures and the class representation;

- Regional and local levels of the class representation;

- Church and institutions of the class representation;

- Mechanisms of the functioning of institutions of class representation: information; elections and convocation; ceremonies, rituals and symbols; decision-makings.

- Class representation and out of the state and political crises: the involvement of disadvantaged groups of the population and institutions of class representation to the process of the finding a compromise.
