Russian culture abroad: Week of Russian language and culture in France

The People’s Friendship University of Russia in conjunction with the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) from October 1-15, 2013 holds a week of Russian language and culture in France.

The events will be held in Paris, Nice and Lyon and will include open lessons of Russian language, methodical workshops and seminars.

It will be also presented the teaching literature for schoolchildren “Russian language in school and home”, will be held linguistic games, quizzes and theatre performances for families of compatriots.

The purpose of the event is the promotion of Russian language as important cultural heritage of the world, the spread of education and culture among our compatriots living abroad and foreigners.

The week of Russian language and culture is part of the project “Seasons of the Russian language and literature”, which became the continuation of the “cross” Year of Russia – France.
