Libraries and education: The All-Russian Scientific-Practical Conference “Library in the information and educational environment of the university: traditions and innovations” in Nizhny Novgorod

The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Library in the informational and educational environment of the university: traditions and Innovations" is held in the Nizhny Novgorod Technical University on November 29, 2013.

The conference welcomes Director and senior specialists of university libraries, teachers, students, undergraduates, graduate students and their teachers.

At the conference, in particular, will be discussed the following questions: a library as a resource center providing educational and scientific activity of the university, progress trends and automation of university libraries, creating a virtual space of a modern library, formation of a single educational space of the university on the basis of the University Library.

The plenary session will be called "Adaptation objectives and functions of university libraries to the requirements of the development of information-educational environment". Three sections will operate: "The role of the university library in the innovative development of the university", "Modern information technology and resource support of libraries of the university" and "Educational and cultural potential of the University Library".
