World culture: By 2015 all Soviet burials of times of the World War II to be described in Germany

The regular meeting of the Society “Museum Berlin – Karlshorst”, which summarized the results of this unique German-Russian museum dedicated to the surrender of Nazi Germany in 1945, took place in Berlin. The museum was opened after a major renovation in April 2013 and was able to immediately increase the number of visitors almost doubled.

A number of projects of the museum went beyond the museum work. In particular, by 2015, is scheduled to complete work on the creation of a comprehensive list of graves of Soviet citizens during the war in Germany.

“”Museum Berlin – Karlshorst” right now, on the eve of the date of the end of the World War II, should become an important platform for the implementation of joint research and creative projects. Serious role here can be played by the Union of Russian Museums, international museum organizations. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will spare no effort in promoting the implementation of modern ideas of museum development”, - said the head of the Culture of Ministry of Defense of Russia Anton Gubankov.

Society and the management of the museum with great interest accepted the proposal of the Ministry of Defense of Russia on the organization of the donor’s Day, when any citizen may refer to the fund of the museum family heirlooms.
