The Presidential Library: New acquisitions

The collection of the Presidential Library Territory of Russia (section the Russian Federation) has been enriched with video materials provided by LLC “Beautiful Country”.

Documentary films from the cycle “Russia from the Train Window” talk about the expeditions of the Murmansk railway, through Meshcherskaya ground, on the places of construction of the Transpolar highway, the Lower Volga region and the Caspian Sea, the North Caucasus Railway, the Northern and Polar Urals, the Krasnoyarsk Railway road and Southern Siberia, the Southern Primorye, the port “Vanino” and Tynda, the Ob region, from Tyumen to the Arctic Ocean.

Participants of photo and film project “Russia from the Train Window” for 3.5 years have conducted more than 30 missions, completed 150 thousand kilometers. The project presents a portrait of Russian blitz at the beginning of the XXI century. – It draws together a new and eternal image of the vast country that goes far beyond the usual stereotypes of limited perception. The authors present new Russian geographical features, the features of the cultural and historical heritage and life of Russian citizens. From paintings, depicted by art photographer, there is a delightfully vivid image of our country - diverse, unique and unrepeatable.
