Society and reading: Conferences, dedicated to problems of support and development of reading, in Moscow

November 19-20, 2013 in Moscow with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation are held two annual conferences: the VII All-Russian Conference “National Program for Reading Promotion and Development: Challenges and Prospects” and the III All-Russian scientific-practical conference “Libraries, publishing houses, book trade and the media: the impact on the reading”. The organizers of the conference are the Interregional Library Cooperation Centre and the Russian Committee of UNESCO “Information for Everyone”. During these events are discuss topical issues, achievements and prospects for future work in the area of ​​reading.

As in previous years, the conference participants are representatives of federal departments and agencies, the government of the Russian Federation, the leading nation-wide and specialized media, cultural institutions, education, research, publishing houses, book trade organizations, writers and journalists.
