Society and media: Media Forum of Young Journalists “Dialogue of Cultures in Saint-Petersburg

From November 19 to November 21, 2013 at the Hermitage Theatre in Saint-Petersburg is held the annual Media Forum of Young Journalists “Dialogue of Cultures”.

One of the key topics of the forum proposed for discussion to mass media professionals was the overcoming of conflicts and confrontation between different cultures and religions. The reporters will also talk about the development of new technologies in the media space. The Forum is held in the form of a practical conference.

All the participants of the “Dialogue of Cultures” will be able to visit the creative workshops led by recognized masters of journalism. The forum will include a presentation of joint cross-border media projects, photo exhibition and documentary films with a common theme of “I live in such a way”, where the participants of the forum will be able to submit creative works devoted to the identity life in their country. On the eve of the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum participants will have the opportunity to shoot in the museum halls and warehouses, as well make report about St. Petersburg.

The forum is organized by Media Congress of journalists in Europe and Asia, the State Hermitage Museum, together with the Union of Journalists of Russia, the International Confederation of Journalists’ Unions, the International Academy of Television and Radio, with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications. It is being held for the 8th time and becomes more and more important media space on exchange of professional experience between young members of the media in different countries.
