Society and culture: International conference “Leo Tolstoy: a view through the centuries” in Tula

November 19, 2013 at the Tula Central City Library will be held the International conference “Leo Tolstoy: a view though the centuries”. 

The main objective of the conference, dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the birth of L. N. Tolstoy – the union and interaction of organizations, bearing the name of the writer.

The program includes reports, poster presentations and expositions. The practical part of the conference – “Fair of creative ideas” - will introduce participants the best innovative works of specialists of the L. N. Tolstoy Central City Library: video digest “Tolstoy addresses on a map of Tula”, “Leo Tolstoy on the Tula scene”, virtual exhibitions “Tolstoy and Italy”, “N. Roerich. Meeting with Tolstoy”.

The conference welcomes heads of libraries in Moscow and Novosibirsk, experts from the Tula regional libraries, leading experts of the Museum Estate “Yasnaya Polyana” and teachers of the L. N. Tolstoy Tula State Pedagogical University.

For the first time the municipal library of the city of Myunyamyaki (Finland) will take part in live broadcast of the conference.
