Culture and authority: The meeting of the Coordinating Council for Culture in the Kaliningrad region

November 18, 2013 in Kaliningrad region hosts the meeting of the Coordinating Council for Culture.

As part of the two-day session, participants will learn about the cultural and tourism potential of the Kaliningrad region and consider the possibilities of development in the areas of cultural and historical context. In the Amber Museum, guests will discuss the integration of the unique museum of products in the tourism industry. The participants will visit the Museum of the World Ocean, the Cathedral, the cultural and recreational center of the village Kovrovo of the Zelenograd district, will get acquainted with the amber industry infrastructure facilities in the Kaliningrad region.

The agenda of the meeting contains:

1. The use of public-private partnership for the development of the culture - the model of cooperation, experience and perspectives.

2. Socio-cultural and socio-natural features of the regions as tourism resource of development of areas.

Also as part of the meeting, the Amber Museum holds a handover ceremony at the collection of art objects made ​​of amber - 40 pieces of art that have no analogues in the world – the St. Petersburg gallery “Amber House”.

The forum is attended by Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky, governor of the Kaliningrad region Nikolai Cukanov, Chairman of the Kaliningrad Regional Duma Marina Orgeevai, as well as heads of executive bodies in the sphere of culture of the Russian Federation.
