World culture: Exhibition “Magic of the Dutch realism” as part of the Year of the Netherlands in Russia in Moscow

12 November 2013

As part of the Year of the Netherlands in Russia, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts from November 12, 2013 presents the exhibition of works from the corporate collection of ING Group – one of the largest financial conglomerates in the world. Currently, the art collection of ING covers over 15 000 works kept at the company’s offices around the world.

The exposition, which is presented in the Gallery of Art in Europe and America of the XIX-XX centuries, attempts to trace the development of Dutch figurative art for more than 80 years from the birth of the “magic realism”, which accounts for the 1920s up to the present time. The exhibition will be a kind of dialogue between the works of such artists of the first half of the XX century, as Wim Schumacher, Karel Villink, Pake Koch and their modern followers, among who are Philip Ackerman, France Stuurman, Koos van Coyle and others.
