Internet and society: The research of mobile Internet market presented in Russia

Over the past two years, the average number of mobile Internet users in Russia increased by more than 20 times, according to a study of the mobile market, prepared by companies Game Insight and J'son & Partners in support of Congress Live Mobile!, which will be held in Moscow on 12-13 November 2013.

The number of Russian mobile video audience is projected to grow at the end of 2013 ten-fold - from two to 20 million people. For comparison, in the U.S. the number of mobile video audience in the same year will grow as expected, only 2.5 times.

Compared with 2011, the number of unique visits to sites of Runet, taken with iPhones, will grow by 32 times, the plates iPad - 56 times, with mobile devices running Android - to 133-fold.

Previously, experts of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) estimated that up to 2013 the average growth of the Runet market could reach 26%. This is significantly higher than the average growth of the economy as a whole, as well as many individual segments of the economy.
