Russian museums: Conference “History of the Great Patriotic War in modern museum expositions: genesis, problems, experience” in Moscow

November 8, 2013 the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War (Moscow) with information support of the Russian Military Historical Society holds the Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference "History of the Great Patriotic War in modern museum expositions: genesis, problems, experiences".

The Forum is attended by representatives of government and public military-historical museums, famous historians of the Great Patriotic War and the Second World Wars, well-known scientists of museology. They will discuss a number of important issues: design theory and experience to create exposures; relevance of the scientific approach of creating the exhibition on the history of the Great Patriotic War; exposure design and the problem of correlation of scientific and artistic design museum exhibits, and the interaction of exposition person and artist; new information technologies and cultural problems of representation heritage in museum exhibitions; safety problems of exhibits.

The conference program includes a demonstration of the documentary "The opening ceremony of the Russian Federation at the State Museum "Auschwitz-Birkenau" at Auschwitz on 27 January 2013".
