Prime Minister of Russia: Internet in Russia is to be a fast and inexpensive

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on November 7, 2013, Government Meeting said that the Internet in Russia has to be fast, high quality and reasonably priced.

Dmitry Medvedev stressed that taking into account the scale of the country the development of telecommunication infrastructure is one of the strategic objectives of the government. "In the near future we should do away with so called “digital divided territories” problems, - he said. -  The integrity of our country’s information area largely depends on this. Providing an overall access to our cultural attainments and building the remote services in the medicine, education and trade - we are in charge of it."

"The Internet should be fast, high-quality and inexpensive, including in those currently removed from the main centers of communications development areas", - said the prime minister. Medvedev added that the most effective tool for digital justification would become a process associated with the shaping of the up-to-date level of competition in the industry.
