Russian Culture Abroad: Russian Language, Education and Culture Week in Finland

In the National Unity Day on November 4, 2013, in Helsinki (Finland) started the second Week of the Russian Language, Russian Culture and Russian Education.

The event is organized by Tula State Pedagogical University named after L. N. Tolstoy in the framework of "Russian Language" federal program, Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Helsinki and "Finland − Russia" Society.

The program includes the methodical seminars for teachers of Russian as a foreign language, Russian as a native language or Russian as a second native language, the visits to Finnish schools and language lerning games for their students, the activities of cultural and educational nature − meetings with contemporary Russian writers, the exhibitions of textbooks and methodical literature on Russian language, education and culture.

The Week activities will be held in Helsinki, Turku, Tampere and Kuopio.
