Libraries and society: Conference “Centralization of libraries: stages of development and perspectives” in Tver

December 24-25, 2013 in Tver is held the conference “Centralization of libraries: stages of development and perspectives”. The conference is organized as part of the celebration of the 35^th anniversary of centralization of libraries of Tver.

Organizers: the Department of Culture, Sport and Youth Affairs of Tver, the Municipal Library System of Tver.

The following topics are proposed for consideration and discussion:

- Centralized Library System: history, models, problems and successes.

- Centralization of libraries as a factor of social and cultural development of the region.

- Corporate network of public libraries as a new stage of their development.
