International events: 2015 to be the “cross” Year of Russia – Poland
December 19, 2013 took place a working visit to Poland by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who spent together with his Polish counterpart R. Sikorski VIII the meeting of the Committee on Strategy of Russian-Polish cooperation with representatives of ministries and departments of the two countries that are actively involved in the process of building reciprocal links.
Three sections - on foreign policy, economic and cultural cooperation - objectively analyzed the state of bilateral relations and outlined the prospects for their further development. The parties noted the successful functioning of the basic mechanisms of the Russian-Polish cooperation, progressive expansion of inter-regional and inter-linkages, cultural, business and other areas of cooperation.
During the meeting of Stratcommittee were signed joint statements - "Program 2020 in Russian-Polish relations", defining a strategy for further development of relations between Russia and Poland in the medium term, and on the Year of the two countries in 2015, designed to give significant impetus to the comprehensive development of Russian-Polish cooperation in key areas.
