Internet and society: Olympic Games in Sochi to be available at the Yahoo web site

Yahoo Internet company will cover the events of the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014 in conjunction with the TV channel NBC and will run online broadcast games at its websites, said the company.

Yahoo is going to run online broadcasts from all Olympic events at its websites, the content of which will be provided by a channel NBC, as well as to use their services, such as Yahoo Search, photo hosting Flickr and blogs Tumblr for sports coverage. In addition, experts of Yahoo Sports will host daily analytical programs dedicated to news of the Olympics in Sochi, which will be broadcasted by NBC, and will be available to all users of the Internet.

Yahoo and NBC have agreed on joint coverage of sporting events a year ago, said Vice President of Yahoo Sports Ken Fuchs. According to him, the launch of broadcasts from the Olympic Games in Sochi will allow sports fans to get information about the competitions on the fastest and the most convenient way.
