
Russian museums: Exhibition “The Past Tsarskoye Selo” in Izborsk
"The Past Tsarskoye Selo" - so is the traveling exhibition, which was prepared by the Tsarskoye Selo State Museum Reserve especially for the Museum-Reserve "Isborsk". It presents copies of the photos v from the museum collection and the photo (figures or stands for photographing) from the exposition "Tsarskoye Selo photo studio". New exhibition became the prelude of the international photography festival, which will take place in Izborsk in 2014 and will unite Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Baltic countries.
The exhibits from Tsarskoye Selo were housed in the former home of the merchant Belyanin, which is part of the Museum-Reserve "Isborsk". They give an idea of Catherine and Alexander interiors of palaces, about the history of grand imperial summer residence.
The "Tsarskoye Selo" State Museum Reserve keeps a unique collection of colored images performed at the beginning of the XX century. It includes some of the first color images that have appeared in the art of photography, the so-called auto chromes. Tsarskoe Selo auto chromes are implemented by photographer Andrew Zeest in 1917 be the new technology, invented by French photographers Lumiere brothers.
Visitors of the exhibition in Izborsk willingly photograph in Tsarskoye Selo photo "Beautiful Lady" and "The brave soldier". In a cardboard smart dress-photo you can improvise on standing in one of the halls of the piano.
The exhibition "The Past Tsarskoye Selo", which precedes International Photography Festival, will run until 30 April 2014.
