Information technology and archives: Inventory of federal archive holdings digitized

 “Electronic Archive” Corporation has completed the project on transmission of inventories of the State Archives of the Russian Federation (SARF) and the Russian State Archive of Economy (RSAE) to the format of electronic databases.

More than one million records on documents of state archives will be available via the Internet. The project has been scanned and indexed more than 140,000 pages of documents. The received electronic information resources are loaded into the software system "Archive Foundation".

Implemented within the federal target program "Culture of Russia (2012-2018)", the works are aimed at improving the effectiveness of citizens' appeals, the improvement of users and specialists accesses to documents and archives.
