Peoples of the world: The I International Congress “Saint-Petersburg and the Slavic world” held at the Russian Museum of Ethnography

December 9-10, 2013 at the Russian Museum of Ethnography is held the I International Congress "Saint-Petersburg and the Slavic world" dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the beginning of the educational activity of Saints Cyril and Methodius.

The congress is attended by delegations from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia and Poland - Representatives of Slavic cities, museum directors and leading universities, heads of cultural organizations.

The program of the congress includes discussion of issues on ecology of culture and preservation of cultural heritage, issues of education and youth exchanges. "This is a unique event that is a logical continuation of the Cultural Forum - distance between them is less than a week", - said the director of the Russian Museum of Ethnography Vladimir Grusman.
