History and culture: Znamenskie educational readings in Veliky Novgorod

December 8, 2013 in Veliky Novgorod will be open Znamenskie educational readings, which will continue their work until December 10, 2013

The readings are timed to the celebration of Our Lady of Sorrows, called "The Omen". Theme: "St. Sergius of Radonezh. Rus’. Heritage, Present, Future".

The main objective: the development of spiritual and moral traditions of the modern national education pedagogy and implementation of the principles of Orthodox pedagogy in family education, preschool, general, higher education, admission of children and young people to preserve the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Novgorod land; generalization of theoretical foundations and broadcasting experience.

Sections to be presented:

- Rus’ of St. Sergius of Radonezh.

- The Orthodox education. Past, Present, Future.

- St. Sergius of Radonezh and his spiritual heritage.

Scientists from Petersburg, Moscow, Veliky Novgorod, Vyborg, diocese of Novgorod clergy, winners of nationwide contest "Teacher of the Year", teachers of secondary schools and Sunday schools will discuss the problems of spiritual and moral state of society today.
