Russian museums: The collection of the A. A. Bakhrushin Theater Museum to be enriched with video archive to its 100th anniversary

The collection of the A. A. Bakhrushin Moscow Theater Museum will be enriched with archive video of performances-nominees for the Russian national prize "Golden Mask" for the last 20 years, which are owned by the Union of theatrical figures of Russia. The handover ceremony will take place on January 30, 2014.

This event actually opens a jubilee year for the museum - the 120th anniversary of its founding. The handover ceremony will be held during the exhibition “Objects N*”, dedicated to another important date in the life of the museum - the 100th anniversary of the transmission by A. A. Bakhrushin of his collection to the state.

The exhibition features a collection of rarities of Alexei Alexandrovich Bakhrushin mainly received before 1913 - the exhibits describing the life, habits, and aesthetics of the time. For example, glass negatives and daguerreotypes. The exhibition presents 100 of such items. Another subject line of the exhibition refers to the XXI century, more precisely, to its first decade. These are acquisitions and gifts to the museum, they are also 100.
