To the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi: Works by contemporary artists and sculpture works of 1940-1970 about sport presented in Saint-Petersburg

The exhibition “Sport Art” (Art of the sport: works by contemporary artists and sculpture works of 194-1970 from the collection of the State Museum of Urban Sculpture, opened on January 23, 2014 a the New exhibition hall of the Museum.

The exhibition opens on the eve of the Winter Olympic Games and presents bright and expressive paintings, sculptures, objects and photographs.

The exhibition welcomes contemporary authors. Among historical works (sculpture and graphics) is a rare classic sculptural work of Soviet art of Alexander Samokhvalov.

The exhibition runs until February 22, 2014.
