President of Russia Vladimir Putin instructed Government of Russia together with governments of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad region by March 1, 2014 to consider the establishment of the museum complex “The Road of life”, dedicated to the blockaded Leningrad.

"The Government of the Russian Federation together with the Government of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region to consider the establishment of a museum and memorial complex "The Road of Life", dedicated to the defense and the siege of Leningrad (1941-1944 years)", - stated in the list of orders of the President of the conference "Action Forum" of the Russian People's Front. The list is published at the website of the President of Russia.

To be responsible are appointed Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, the Governor of Saint-Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
