Internet and archives: The Perm Archive launched virtual tours through its stores and departments

The Perm city archive organized a virtual tour through the stores and departments at its website.

The tour is organized within the project "Open City Hall", told in the archive: "Virtual visitors can see the work of the institution from the inside, to visit the stores and find out where to get the necessary information, to find out where the necessary archival documents are. A virtual tour allows visitors to find their way in which of the departments can be accessed with their question".

A virtual tour looks almost like a computer game – a quest, you can wander through the corridors on either side, go in the office, and there are signs with the names of departments.

In addition, the Perm archive has introduced another innovation - to obtain the necessary archival information and statements electronically Perm residents can now through the portal of public services. "Such innovations that increase the availability of municipal services, make the procedure more comfortable, modern and help applicants to save time", - noted in the archive.

The Archive of Perm traces its history since 1993, when it created the archival department – a Centre of storage of documents on personnel management affairs of the city administration. In 2004, the archive department was eliminated, and its successor became a municipal institution "Archive of Perm".
