Information technology and museums: Virtual branch of the National Pushkin Museum to be open in Estonia

In the Estonian town Kohtla-Jarve will be open a virtual branch of the National Pushkin Museum. The agreement was signed on January 10, 2014. This will be the third such branch of the museum: two are already operating in Finland and Austria.

The signing of the agreement was timed to the opening in Kohtla-Jarve of exhibition "Godlike princess", which tells about the era of Catherine II. After the opening day was presented a new book of the museum director Sergei Nekrasov "The National Pushkin Museum: masterpieces and relics".

The cooperation of the National Museum Pushkin and Kohtla-Jarve has been going on for more than five years. Also in Kohtla-Jarve for eight years in the White Hall of the Museum of slate has been running the first overseas branch of the State Russian Museum.
