Society and reading: Project “Twelve months to read” starts in Lipetsk

In Lipetsk starts the project "Twelve months to read". City Libraries will disclose a part of their collections and regularly hold events on specific topics.

Each month is divided into genres and themes. For example, in January we will focus on classical literature, in February - the sports books, but the focus will be in March, children's and youth work. The project ends in December studying fiction and online resources.

Specialists of the library will visit schools, enterprises, institutions and organizations in the city, where they will talk about new books and interesting authors. There will be also held exhibitions, contests and quizzes.

The purpose of the project is to promote books and reading, improving information culture of readers. Symbolically, it is realized in the Year of Culture, declared by the President of Russia.
