Memory of Russia: Opening of the bust of Nicholas II and the exhibition of the State Historical Museum “The Cossacks at the state service” in Belgrade

In the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Belgrade, with the participation of the Serbian branch of the International Foundation for the Unity of Orthodox Christian Nations took place the opening ceremony of a bronze bust of Emperor Nicholas II, the work of the famous sculptor, People's Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Klykov.

On behalf of the International Fund for Slavic Literature and Culture, the bust was presented as a gift to Russian science and culture center in Belgrade in connection with the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov and the 80th anniversary of the center, received at the base in 1933 the name "Russian House of Emperor Nicholas II Romanov". The monument was erected in the foyer of the library of the Russian House.

Simultaneously with the opening ceremony of the monument was launched an exposition "The Cossacks at the state service", commissioned by Rossotrudnuchestvo by the National Historical Museum.
