World history: Exhibition “In memory of the Great War” in Naryan-Mar

In the Nenets Regional Museum (Naryan-Mar) opened an exhibition “In memory of the Great War” timed to the 100^th anniversary of the First World War. 

During the preparation of the exhibition was collected an extensive material about more than 260 participants of the First World War – residents of the Pustozersky and Nessky districts, living within the modern borders of the Nenets district.

The exhibition features unique museum exhibits, previously not exhibited for a wide audience: personal belongings, and military trophies of soldiers, documents and photographs of participants of the war. Visitors will also learn about the structure of the Russian Army and features of the call for the actual military service.

The exhibition is organized as part of the celebration of the Year of Culture and will run till April 2014.
