Online navigator on the events of the Russian-British Year of Culture Kompass, submitted to the Russian Embassy in London, will be the most complete listing of upcoming events and will help the British do not miss any of them.

The project will bring together all the information about the events, the culture - concerts, exhibitions, conferences, as well as introduce the reader to culture news, reviews, and notes on Russian cultural traditions. The website also includes video and audio sections.

According to project director Tatiana Rubleva, Kompass will tell the British not only about what Russian culture is, but also about its links with Britain.

According to the Russian Ambassador to the UK Alexander Yakovenko, the availability of a detailed online calendar will allow fans of culture not to miss a single event. The Ambassador also offered at the end of the year to continue work on the web site of Kompass, so that permanent navigator cultural events in the British capital functioned on its base.

The Year of Culture of Russia in Britain opens in London on February 24 with performance of the Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra of Tchaikovsky led by Vladimir Fedoseyev, and then in Trafalgar Square will be a holiday of Maslenitsa. The UK Culture Year in Russia will begin on April 14 at the Manezh exhibition - it is a project by Peter Greenaway "Golden Age of Russian art".
