Information technology and museums: New exposition of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve to be equipped with multimedia facilities

At the Refectory Chamber of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve is taking place the construction of the exposition "History of St. Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery". It is planned that by the beginning of the tourist season, it will be open to the public. The new exposition will be a logical continuation of the other permanent exhibition - "Antiquities of White Ozerki" located in the basement of the Refectory Chamber and reflecting the history of the region from ancient times to the early monastic colonization.

A new exposition is planned to provide with a variety of modern multimedia facilities aimed at both the visual and sound of the exhibition.

More than 300 exhibits will open to visitors the story of Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. Certainly, one of the important themes will be the life and activities of the church and outstanding politician - St. Kirill Belozersky, his veneration, iconography. The whole room is devoted to the inner life of the monastery, coenobitic charter which served as an example to follow. To learn how developed, grew and strengthen the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery, which became not only a major religious center, but also support the central government in the Russian North, would be possible through several exhibition complexes.

Separate, but closely related to the main exposition, will be the story of other monasteries of the Kirillo-Belozersky deanery - Nilo-Sorsk desert and Goritsky convent. There will also be touched upon the spiritual heirs of St. Kirill Belozersky and their abodes.
