February 10, 2014 marks 177 years since the death of Alexander S. Pushkin. In St. Petersburg are held commemorative events dedicated to this date.
At the National Pushkin Museum opens the exhibition of works by artist E. G. Chemodurov from the Museum dedicated to the Day of Memory of Alexander S. Pushkin and the 100th anniversary of the artist.
In the afternoon, in the courtyard of the Museum, at the monument to the poet will be held a memorial meeting dedicated to the 177th anniversary of the death of Alexander S. Pushkin.
The ceremony is held by Director of the National Pushkin Museum, Dr. of Cultural Studies, Professor Sergei Nekrasov. At 14.45 will be held a minute of silence. Poems of the poet will be featured.
