History and Culture: Exhibition “From new acquisitions to the Museum of the History of Saint-Petersburg State University”, dedicated to the 290th anniversary of the Saint-Petersburg State University

February 10, 2014 the Saint-Petersburg State University hosts the exhibition “From new acquisitions to the Museum of History of the Saint-Petersburg University”, dedicated to the 290^th anniversary of the University, which is celebrated on February 8.

The exhibition features documents, photographs and items, which were donated to the museum over the last few years. Among them: evidence of academician Dmitry S. Likhachev on graduation of the LSU in 1928, identity and personal belongings of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Professor of the Faculty of Economics I. P. Kotova, extracts from reports of TASS of 1941-1945 by A. F. Morachevskaya; photographs of students of Bestuzhevsky courses in 1895-1914; lithographed lectures on mathematics; cap and printing of historian Academician S. F. Platonov, instruments from the collection of Professor I. I. D. Strelnikov; a certificate of completion of the law faculty in 1912 city ​; student card of 1939 academician K. Y. Kondratyev (Rector LSU in 1964-1970); yearbook of the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics 1939; concert tailcoat university choir leader G. M. Sandler; numerous gifts of the university; sample of the new diploma SPSU autographed D. A. Medvedev and many other items illustrating the history of the university in different periods.
